The Green Bay Packers seemed to be on their way to their fourth-straight win of the season on Thursday night with Davante Adams putting the offense on his back. The Philadelphia Eagles had no answer for the superstar wideout as he caught eight passes for 158 yards in the first half alone.

However, in the second half, Adams was held to just two catches for 22 yards but it wasn't because of the Eagles secondary. On his 10th catch of the game, the Packers receiver was forced to exit the game early with a toe injury.

Green Bay usually looks Adams' way in the red zone but they were unable to late in the fourth quarter. As a result, the Packers lost the game with Aaron Rodgers throwing an interception on Green Bay's final possession.

After the game, Adams feared his injury could be turf toe. Adams underwent an MRI on Friday and the injury isn't expected to be serious but he could miss some time.

With that being said, can the Packers offense survive any amount of time without Adams on the field? Considering the injury isn't thought to be serious, No. 17 won't miss much time—if any.

Nevertheless, the offense with Adams in it compared to when he is out of it is vastly different. Rodgers and company witnessed that firsthand on Thursday night against the Eagles.

Following Adams' exit from the game, Rodgers struggled to connect with the remaining receivers on the field. Furthermore, the All-Pro quarterback completed eight of his 16 attempts for 68 yards and an interception without Adams in the fourth quarter.

Prior to Thursday's game, the Packers offense under Matt LaFleur hadn't shown any life this season. But with Rodgers and Adams on the same page, Green Bay's offense was revitalized against the Eagles.

The reason why Rodgers is confident in Adams is due to the duo being in their sixth season together. Aside from Adams, there aren't any wide receivers in the Packers offense that Rodgers had consistent chemistry with.

Therefore, if Davante Adams was to miss any time, Green Bay's offense would be out of sorts. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison showcased their potential on Thursday. At the same time, neither of those guys are as talented as Adams.

To make matters worse, the Packers will face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. It would be tough to envision the Packers being able to win that game (or many games) with Davante Adams on the sideline in street clothes.
