Carlos Condit has decided to hang up the gloves. ‘The Natural Born Killer' has decided to end his time as an MMA fighter after an almost 20-year career.

MMAFighting first reported the news. Condit's manager informed MMAFighting that he had decided to call it a career.

Condit has had quite a career and faced many notable opponents. He famously competed in the UFC for almost ten years and was undefeated in his two years with the WEC.

He beat Nick Diaz in 2012 and won the interim UFC welterweight belt which allowed him to fight Georges St-Pierre for the real championship. He would lose the fight by decision but a big head kick during the fight almost won it for Condit.

The head kick will live on in the minds of MMA fans as one of the truly great ‘what ifs' in the sport, Georges St-Pierre only had two losses. It was moments like this that created the legend of Condit.

Carlos Condit had a very violent and exciting fighting style. He had great striking and very unorthodox movement.

His recent fights against Robbie Lawler and Thiago Alves are great examples of the violence he was able to show. He would always leave it all in the cage.

Condit had a steep decline after the Lawler fight. He would go 2-5 with wins over Matt Brown and Court McGee.

Many would say he was lacking something mentally after the Lawler fight. It was said both men left a piece of themselves in the octagon during that fight.

In almost 50 fights, Condit was never knocked out.
