It looks like Los Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert will start once more in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, per Field Yates of ESPN. This will be a battle between the youngest starting quarterback (22-year-old Herbert) and the oldest starting quarterback (43-year-old Brady) in the NFL.

Herbert has answered the call to step up in veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor's absence. Taylor has missed the last few outings due to several complications stemming from a rib injury. Matters became worse for Taylor after the Chargers' team doctor accidentally punctured Taylor's lung upon trying to administer pain medicine.

Herbert delivered an outstanding performance in his debut for the Chargers. The University of Oregon product threw for 311 yards while completing 66.7% of his passes in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

Herbert continued his stellar production in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, though it resulted in a loss as well. The rookie threw for 330 yards and one touchdown along with one interception while completing 71.4% of his pass attempts.

Herbert has already had the task of dealing with an elite talent in Patrick Mahomes, so going against a legend in Tom Brady should be tolerable for him in the battle of QBs.

There's not much headway that has been made in terms of Taylor's injury. He was ruled out against the Buccaneers on Friday. Though Taylor is nearing his return, Herbert has made his case as a starter lately, putting more pressure on head coach Anthony Lynn to make a long-term decision when both players are healthy.
