Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has had an incredible start to his NFL career, and he didn't slow down in Week 14 against the Giants. Herbert was deadly accurate in the first half against the Giants, and it resulted in the second-year QB making NFL history.

According to Gilbert Manzano, Herbert broke the NFL record for most completions by any player through his first two seasons. Herbert's 725 completions put him in sole possession of the top spot, and he'll certainly give himself a comfortable cushion on that lead with four more weeks to play in the regular season.

That wasn't the only significant milestone achieved by the former Oregon Duck on Sunday. Herbert's heroics also saw him become the second-fastest player to reach 8,000 passing yards, doing so in just 28 games, as well as the fourth-youngest player to reach the 8,000 passing yard threshold, per Fernando Ramirez.

In the first half against the Giants, Herbert completed 16-of-22 pass attempts for two touchdowns and no interceptions, further adding to what's already been a terrific sophomore campaign as a pro for the Eugene, OR, native.

Herbert is also the fourth-fastest NFL player in history to record 60 passing touchdowns, and is the second-youngest to do so. The Chargers clearly struck the jackpot when they picked Herbert with the sixth overall pick in 202o, a move that has paid dividends for the franchise.

This season, entering Week 14, Herbert had 27 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions, having completed 66.6% of his pass attempts for 3,457 yards. His performance in the first half against New York was enough to see him enter the history books, and he'll have plenty of time to keep shattering records throughout what figures to be a standout career.
