Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham suffered a scary head injury on Thursday night and was immediately taken to the hospital for testing. There has been a new development in Parham’s current status and it should serve as good news for Chargers fans everywhere.
According to NFL insider Tyler Dragon of USA TODAY, Parham, who is still in UCLA Harbor Medical Center, has initially been diagnosed with a concussion, and that he could be discharged from the hospital within the day:

This is definitely a positive update for Parham and the Chargers following what was a horrific injury from their clash against the Kansas City Chiefs on TNF. In case you haven’t seen it, here’s Parham hitting his head on the ground and then going stiff immediately after:
INJURY ALERT 🚨- Donald Parham Jr. suffers a scary non-contact head injury vs. Chiefs. A traumatic brain or spinal cord injury is likely. Hoping for the best for him and his family. pic.twitter.com/FsCMXG2Bhe

The Chargers stud had to be carted off the field right after the play and more videos show that his arms were stiff and shaking as he was being led to the locker room:

The Chargers have not provided any further details about Parham’s injury but it sounds like he’s dodged a major bullet here. The 24-year-old is now likely to enter the league’s concussion protocol and he’s presumably going to miss some time because of this injury.
