Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is quite the popular candidate for numerous head coaching jobs around the NFL.

In fact, Bieniemy has interviewed for every single vacancy…except one.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Bieniemy interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets on Wednesday. Schefter added the lone team that has not requested or interviewed Bieniemy is Houston.

The Texans not even requesting to interview Bieniemy, one of the notable offensive minds in the league, is nothing short of conspicuous.

Houston has a strong offensive foundation with Deshaun Watson at quarterback. It would seem the Texans need to do everything in their power to empower Watson and put him in the best positions to succeed.

Given what Bieniemy has accomplished with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, he would figure to be an ideal candidate. Instead, the Texans are passing, at least for now. It hardly matters much to Bieniemy.

The Chiefs OC could very well have his pick of the litter. Bieniemy has been one of the more high-profile candidates for some time, and has a pretty decorated resume as one of the orchestrators and conductors of a tremendously explosive offense.

Kansas City ranked first in total yards, with Mahomes utilizing a diverse group of weapons and the Chiefs also mixing in a steady run game. The results have obviously been strong, if the 14-2 mark is so indicative.

Having completed his interviews, Eric Bieniemy will turn his focus to Kansas City's pursuit of a second straight Lombardi Trophy. But he should have plenty of options once the season concludes.
