The Texas Tech Red Raiders are getting back Zach Kittley as their offensive coordinator, and Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes couldn't be more hyped up about it.

Kittley is returning to Texas Tech after his brief stint at Western Kentucky where he led the team to the no. 1 rank in passing and second in total offense. He was with the Red Raiders from 2013 to 2017 and was a graduate assistant in his latter years with the team, during which he helped coach Mahomes.

Naturally, the Chiefs star was delighted with the news and took to Twitter to express his excitement for the return of Kittley.

Zach Kittley left Texas Tech in 2017 to become the offensive coordinator at Houston Baptist. After two years, he moved to Western Kentucky to be the team's OC.

Sure enough with Kittley's return, hopes are high that he'll be able to work his magic on the struggling Red Raiders like how he transformed WKU to the top-passing offense in the nation. Fortunately for him, he has a big believer in Patrick Mahomes who is not only excited for his alma matter, but also for his former coach to show to the whole college football world what he got.

No pressure, Zach!
