Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs beat the New York Giants on Monday Night Football in Week 8, but it wasn't pretty. The Super Bowl contenders had a hard time, with their star quarterback continuing his turnover-plagued campaign.

Despite the concerns about their offense and their failure to get anything going smoothly on the attack, though, Mahomes is confident they can get out of the rut and recapture their form that made them one of the deadliest offensive team in the NFL.

“There's been time where we stall out and don't execute — but I think we're going to snap out of it and find a way to start executing and when we do we're going to be a tough offense to stop,” the  Chiefs QB said in his postgame presser, per Harold Kuntz of Fox 4 News.

Patrick Mahomes threw for just one touchdown in the game, all while completing 29 of his 48 passes for 275 yards. However, the concern is his turnovers after he threw another interception in the contest to bring his tally to 10 on the season–which put him on pace to a career-record of 21 interceptions (his highest is 12 during the 2018 campaign).

Mahomes knows very well he needs to be more careful of the ball if the Chiefs are to get anything going on the attack. He explained that it's a matter of him and his receivers not yet being on the same page, but midway through the season already, Kansas City certainly need to get things figured out.

The Chiefs improved to 4-4 on the season, but they are still bottom of the AFC West along with the Denver Broncos.

Hopefully, though, Mahomes and the Chiefs break out of their offensive slump they are currently in and bring the NFL back to normalcy that fans are used to.
