The Cincinnati Bengals Week 18 matchup against the Cleveland Browns might just be a snoozefest. With Cincinnati already having clinched the AFC North and sitting out multiple starters, this will be a battle between the backups. Regardless, we go over this Bengals-Browns game with some of our Bengals Week 18 predictions in mind.

Cincinnati's defense has performed much better than expected this year. There is still room for improvement, but this franchise is on the right path to success. Considering the Browns are eliminated and playing for nothing, we should see the Bengals defensive unit have a field day.

Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, and a handful of other starters won't be participating in the season finale. For that reason, we'll have a chance to see what the backups can bring to the table. Look for Samaje Perine and Chris Evans to deliver for the Bengals while Brandon Allen puts on a show. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, as Cincinnati's coaching staff has a chance to evaluate some of the younger talent on the roster.

With that said, here are four bold Bengals Week 18 predictions for their matchup against the Browns.

Bengals Week 18 Predictions

4. Cincinnati's defense shuts down Cleveland

The Browns are already looking forward to the offseason as the front office has multiple tough decisions to make. As for the Bengals, they have an opportunity to see just how deep their roster is. We should see Cincinnati remain hungry as they aim to close out their divisional rival on Sunday.

To do so, the defense must be prepared to slow down the run game, as Cleveland has multiple running backs capable of carrying the workload. Thankfully, the Browns have a putrid ariel attack, which is where the Bengals will take advantage.

3. Samaje Perine and Chris Evans prove to be a lethal duo

We all know how great of a running back Joe Mixon is. However, this is an opportunity for Samaje Perine and Chris Evans to prove themselves. We've seen Perine perform well before, so all eyes will be on Evans in the final game of the season. If he puts up big numbers for the Bengals, he could earn himself a legitimate role as the main backup in Cincinnati next year.

2. Brandon Allen balls out, throws 250+ yards and 3 touchdowns

The Bengals' passing game has been electric this year as Joe Burrow has lit up the field all season. Unfortunately, we likely won't see much of Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, or Tyler Boyd. Regardless, the game plan will remain the same. For that reason, we could see Brandon Allen have a strong game as he faces off against a defeated Browns team.

1. Bengals finish the season with a win over the Browns

Although they're resting their starters, the Bengals will still aim for a victory on Sunday. They technically still have a chance to clinch the number one seed of the AFC. It's a long shot, but Cincinnati will play to win in the final week of the regular season.

Look for the Bengals to utilize the run often to set up the passing game for Brandon Allen. Meanwhile, the defense is bound to take control of this matchup as Cleveland has had difficulties slowing down the pass rush lately. This should still be a fun game, but don't be shocked if Cincinnati walks away with a victory.
