Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's famed skyhook is definitely one of the most renowned moves in the history of the sport. However, as it turns out, very few players —  just one, to be exact — have approached the Hall of Famer about wanting to learn the shot.

According to Abdul-Jabbar himself, this honor goes to newly acquired Los Angeles Clippers big man Ivica Zubac:

This is definitely an awesome look for Zubac, as he has been singled out by one of the greatest big men to ever grace the basketball court. What's even more impressive is the fact that the 21-year-old appears to have his sights set on greatness, by not shying away from approaching the legend that is Kareem.

Zubac recently made waves after he made the crosstown move following a deadline day trade between the Clippers and his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers. Due to all the hype surrounding the other huge trades that went down, Zubac's move to the Clippers was a bit under the radar.

Nonetheless, many believe this was an absolute coup for the Clippers, as they only had to give up big man Mike Muscala (and take the hit coming from Michael Beasley's contract) in order to acquire a potential long-term solution at the center spot.

Ivica Zubac had not been great in his two and a half seasons with the Lakers, but when given the opportunity, he has unquestionably shown some flashes of brilliance. He may end up becoming part of the Clippers' nucleus in the years to come. This was a low-risk, high-reward type of move for the Clippers, so however things turn out, they likely won't lose out on this particular deal.
