Lou Williams has made a name for himself as being one of the most reliable and durable vets in the league today. The Los Angeles Clippers swingman has built a career on coming off the bench and being one of the best off-the-bench scorers in NBA history, with three Sixth Man of the Year titles under his name already.

Coming into his 16th season in the league, the Memphis native is looking to remain healthy and suit up for every game in the upcoming shortened 2020-21 NBA season.

“No. I've never managed myself,” Lou Williams said when he was asked if he was planning to manage his load for the upcoming season with the Clippers, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints. “I've been in the league long enough. I was in the league pre-load management. That's how I was trained that's how I was raised in this league so personally, I don't think that's something that happens from my standpoint. If that's something that the coaching staff or the training staff feels that it's something I need to do, then I'll let them lead that. But other than that, my personal opinion is that I'm going to play the 72-game season.”

Unlike his teammates Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Lou Williams is claiming that taking games off and load management isn't in his DNA. At 34 years of age, Williams was still logging in heavy minutes for the Clippers last year.

For what it's worth, he tallied over 28 minutes per game during the regular season and 26 minutes per game during the playoffs in 2019-20.

Williams is undoubtedly a key member of the Clippers unit, and with the team losing pieces in the off-season, he is poised to come up with another huge campaign.
