The Indianapolis Colts have been an active team this offseason, putting together a contending roster for the 2020 season. While speaking about the current roster on 107.5 The Fan, head coach Frank Reich seemingly complimented GM Chris Ballard in being able to compile such a deep roster.

“I think Colts fans should be really excited right now,” Reich says. “I know you don’t want to get over-hyped and you rather under promise and over deliver and all that stuff, but I’m excited. I think Colts Nation should be excited.

Early in free agency, the Colts decided to sign veteran Philip Rivers to become the team's starting quarterback. Seeing that he's had previous experience with Reich, he's expected to provide early returns in Indianapolis.

Along with Rivers, the Colts also added DeForest Buckner via trade ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. And then during the 2020 NFL Draft, Indianapolis notably selected Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman Jr.

Taylor joins Marlon Mack in a dynamic backfield that should thrive in 2020. On the other hand, Pittman gives the Colts a lethal trio alongside T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell. Besides being content with the talent, Frank Reich is fond of the character the team possesses.

“This roster is a good roster, good players, good talent and equally as important to Colts Nation, these are good men. These are good men who will represent us well on the field.”

After a disappointing campaign in 2019, the Colts are favorites to compete for the AFC South title in 2020. On paper, Indianapolis definitely fields an extensively deep roster. With that in mind, Ballard deserves credit for building such a talented roster in such a short span of time.
