The Los Angeles Chargers have decided to end their relationship with Philip Rivers. While his career may be nearing its end, he still has some football left in him. With that in mind, you should expect quite a few teams to go after the quarterback.

One of the teams many have speculated would be heavily interested in Rivers is the Indianapolis Colts.

It appears that is 100% correct, as Matt Kelley and Marcus Moser spoke on the subject on “The Podfather.” And the reports are that Colts' offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni is heavily courting Rivers.

Rivers has spent his entire career with the Chargers. So now this is all uncharted territory for Rivers.

Due to that, you could argue that there's really no way to know anything for sure. There is simply nothing to go off of when it comes to Rivers. So it's impossible to know what his tendencies are.

As they point out in the video, though, Rivers is familiar with some of the coaching staff (including head coach Frank Reich). Reich even coached him with the Chargers for some time.

There's also the massively improved offensive line. Indianapolis might have the best offensive line in the NFL, while the Chargers were great in that category, they aren't to the level of the Colts.

Rivers will likely get courted by a lot of teams this offseason. It looks like the Colts will be right at the front of that line, though.
