With the trade deadline less than a week away, the Miami Dolphins are looking to bring in weapons to help their new rookie quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. We saw the Dolphins add a ton of names this offseason that could impact their roster.

The Brian Flores makeover of this franchise may not be done quite yet. The Dolphins could be eyeing Pittsburgh Steeler standout JuJu Smith-Schuster. This addition would be a great one for the young Dolphins offense where Tagovailoa is set to make his first NFL start this weekend against the Los Angeles Rams.

Kyle Crabbs, the host of the daily Locked On Dolphins podcast, discussed potential roster moves that Dolphin fans could see this week. After he breaks down Smith-Schuster’s current situation with the Steelers, there’s a lot that makes sense with this potential trade.

Crabbs: JuJu Smith-Schuster is an interesting one because he’s a big slot and he kind of fits the mold that the Dolphins apparently like at wide receiver, which is these big physical dudes. Pittsburgh is brimming with wide receiver talent. To the point where up until this past week when Pittsburgh played Tennessee, it almost felt like JuJu was getting phased out of the offense. I’d be super intrigued by the potential of adding JuJu. The downside is if you trade for him now, you’d have to give up a pick and a contract. Or if Pittsburgh is planning on letting walk, you can just give him the contract and not give up the draft pick. So that’s the big conflict with JuJu Smith-Schuster and the potential of adding him at least during the here and now and not during the offseason.
