The Dallas Cowboys are running away with the no. 1 spot in the NFC East division, and a big reason for their success is the greatness their defense is showing on the field each week. Cornerback Trevon Diggs is arguably the face of the Cowboys' stop unit, but linebacker Micah Parsons is definitely a huge part of the team's defense as well.

In fact, one can make a strong argument stating that Parsons is more valuable to Dallas than Diggs based on this fact, via ESPN Stats & Info:

Micah Parsons has been a beast against both the pass and run this season. He's the only player in the league to rank top 15 in both pass rush win rate and run stop win rate per our metrics powered by@NextGenStats.

The Cowboys will enter Week 11 of the 2021 NFL season ranked 10th in the league in scoring defense with only 21.7 points allowed. They are stout against the run, with just 101.2 yards allowed per game and very potent against the pass, with Diggs leading the NFL with eight interceptions. Furthermore, the Cowboys are second overall in defensive interception rate (4.38%). But Dallas' secondary is also feeding off the fantastic production of the Cowboys' pass rush. Parsons leads the team with six sacks and also in tackles for loss (61).

Dallas hopes that its defense will hold up for the rest of the season, as the Cowboys look to go on a deep run in the playoffs.
