If you missed the Las Vegas Aces' 95-81 win over the Dallas Wings on Wednesday, you missed a historic night. A'ja Wilson has once again proved she is the real MVP.

Wilson scored a season-high 36 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, making her the second player in WNBA history to record multiple games of at least 36 points and 12 boards in a game. Beyond her impressive and record-breaking offensive play, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year secured six steals.

A'ja Wilson's performance in the game was truly unprecedented, making her the first player in the history of the league to record such a game-changing performance.

The numbers speak for themselves, and so did everyone else.

Hall of Fame player and coach Dawn Staley shared her support for the player via Twitter Wednesday night.

“Give @_ajawilson22 her trophy NOW, Coach Staley tweeted early in the Commissioner's Cup matchup.

By the second half, Wilson had already scored an incredible 20 points, which had social media buzzing.

The former South Carolina star, who won her first MVP award in 2020, continues to astound with her exceptional performance. She's scoring an average of 26.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, setting a standard in the WNBA. Her potential for winning the MVP award this year is undeniable.

Last season, the Aces center came in third in the WNBA MVP voting. The WNBA announced New York Liberty's Breanna Stewart as the 2023 Most Valuable Player. But it was Wilson who had the last laugh when the Aces became back-to-back champions.

Even then, Dawn Staley spoke up for her former college player, noting that the Aces star athlete was indeed snubbed.

But good things come to those who wait and those who work extra hard in the face of adversity. A'ja Wilson's journey is a testament to this, as she continues to push boundaries and excel in the game she loves.

At the end of the season, we will see who reigns supreme and is dubbed the 2024 MVP. But Wilson already has a few votes.

Wilson and the Aces play at home on Friday against the Seattle Storm. Tip-off is at 7 pm PT at Michelob ULTRA arena.
