Along with the rest of the NFL, representatives of the Miami Dolphins attended the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. General manager Chris Grier answered questions from the media Wednesday regarding the future of the franchise.

He was asked about the future of Tua Tagovailoa and the possibility of Deshaun Watson joining the squad as the starter instead.

Grier shut down that possibility and NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe tweeted the GM's response Wednesday afternoon.

According to Grier, the Dolphins are 100% sold on their quarterback's potential heading into the 2022-2023 season.

The Dolphins aren't the only team that faced this question on Wednesday. Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman also addressed and shut down the possibility of Watson joining their squad. Much like the Dolphins and Tagovailoa, the Eagles are dedicated to building a team around Jalen Hurts moving forward.

Despite a rough start to the 2021-2022 season, Tagovailoa was able to lead to an above .500 record of 9-8. They started the year 1-7 before going on a seven-game winning streak from Week 9 to Week 16. The 24-year-old finished the regular season with a 67.8 completion percentage. He threw 263 completions for 2,653 yards and 16 touchdowns. Tagovailoa also incorporated his own ground game this season, recording 128 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.

It is unclear where Watson will end up this offseason. However, it isn't with the Dolphins or the Eagles. Both teams made it clear on Wednesday that they are set in the quarterback position for the 2022-2023 season.
