Donald Trump discussed Taylor Swift in his contribution to a new book, Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass.

Variety exclusively revealed an excerpt from the book. In this excerpt. Donald Trump discussed his admiration of Taylor Swift's looks, calling her “unusually beautiful.”

“I think she's beautiful — very beautiful! I find her very beautiful,” Trump began.

He then acknowledged that their political views may not align. “I think she's liberal. She probably doesn't like Trump. I hear she's very talented,” Trump continued. “I think she's very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!”

The forthcoming Apprentice book is written by Variety's editor-in-chief, Ramin Setoodeh. It chronicles the behind-the-scenes story of Trump's series, The Apprentice.

Who is Taylor Swift?

Taylor Swift is the biggest superstar in the world. Currently, she is embarking on her biggest concert tour to date — the “Eras” tour.

The tour began in March 2023 with a show in Glendale, Arizona. Swift took the tour across North America in the following months and closed out her 2023 itinerary with shows in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.

In February 2024, Swift picked the “Eras” tour back up with shows in Japan, Australia, and Singapore before taking an extended break. Swift then had two months off before resuming the tour on May 9 with a show in Nanterre, France.

Throughout the 2024 summer, Swift will travel across Europe with her tour. The European leg of the “Eras” tour will conclude with five shows at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Swift will return to North America to play nine shows and head to Canada to close it out.

Aside from her touring career, Swift has been busy in the studio. Her 2022 album Midnights is coming off two wins at the Grammys, Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. During her acceptance speech for the latter award, Swift announced her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

The Tortured Poets Department was released on April 19, 2024. Just hours after it dropped, Swift released a deluxe edition of the album with 15 more songs. So far, the lone single from the album is “Fortnight,” a collaboration between Swift and Post Malone.
