The Philadelphia Eagles have chosen to bench Carson Wentz in favor of Jalen Hurts, stirring reactions from fans of all ages.

Amid losing his starting job, Wentz took the time to respond to a young fan's heartfelt message on Twitter:

The young fan seemed to be upset with Wentz being benched. However, the former No. 2 overall pick reached out to the fan to let him know that he's going to do everything he can to turn things around.

With that being said, it remains to be seen if Wentz is able to get his career back on track in Philadelphia. Wentz leads the NFL with 15 interceptions this season and has struggled under pressure all season.

As a result, Doug Pederson elected to insert Hurts under center in the second half against the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Hurts was able to instill some life in the offense, nearly bringing the Eagles back into the game with his playmaking ability.

In response to Hurts being named the starter this week, many people are curious to see what Wentz's future in Philadelphia looks like. He's due $128 million in the next four seasons and carries nearly $60 million in dead cap if the Eagles move on from him next offseason.

Given that, Philadelphia may be married to Wentz for the foreseeable future. While his future status with the team is uncertain, Wentz evidently has a positive attitude in the situation, as evidenced by his response to one of his young fans.
