Everyone knew that emotions would be running high as DeSean Jackson made his return to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. Early in the game, Jackson got into a scuffle with Washington Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar.

After the play, Jackson was penalized for unnecessary roughness and now he is being fined for it. The NFL took a look at the incident throughout the week and decided to fine Jackson $10,527.

When the play occurred, Jackson cost the Eagles a chance to have a successful drive as the Redskins got off to a 17-0 lead. However, the veteran wideout was able to avenge his penalty by aiding in Philadelphia's comeback.

Before halftime, Carson Wentz connected with Jackson on a 51-yard touchdown that brought some life to the team. He would then respond with a 53-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 21-20 lead.

The speedy wide receiver finished with eight receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns on the day. Jackson turned some heads in his return to Philadelphia but he will need to control his emotions going forward.

The 32-year-old pass-catcher began his career with the Eagles in 2008. From 2008-2013, Jackson would create many memories for the fans of Philadelphia to cherish forever.

That was until he made a distasteful decision to join the Redskins as a free agent in 2014. Despite joining a divisional rival, Jackson expressed that would he always be indebted to the city of Philadelphia.

When it became a possibility that he could return to the city, fans in Philadelphia welcomed him back with open arms. Now, after being away from the team for five years, Jackson will be a vital piece for the offense once again.
