Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was forced to leave the field during their Week 18 contest against the New York Giants due to a nasty-looking finger injury.

Hurts proceeded to the blue medical tent on the sidelines to get his hand checked, with Mike Garafolo of NFL Network sharing that he “had a finger that might've popped out.”

“Hurts came back to the sideline and raised his hand to show the medical and athletic training staff whatever was happening with his finger. Still in the medical tent as of now,” Garafolo added in his report.

Video replays of the incident showed as much as well, with Hurts' right middle finger seen to be bent awkwardly as he was walking off the field and while he was sitting on the bench.

The good news for the Eagles is that Jalen Hurts is reportedly fine despite the incident. He returned to the sideline and threw some balls to test his injured hand, per Garafolo. The Philadelphia signa-caller also tried to put gloves on to get his finger better protection, though he removed it.

It's definitely great to see Hurts okay, especially since the Eagles can't really afford to lose him to injury at this point of the campaign. More than the importance of winning against the Giants, Philly will need their QB1 to be at his best when the playoffs start next week. They are already secured of a postseason spot, but it will be difficult for them to make a deep run without Hurts.

Hopefully, the finger injury won't bother Hurts moving forward.
