Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson made a significant change to his active lineup ahead of his team's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. After being listed as inactive during the opening game, quarterback Jalen Hurts will now slot in as QB2 behind starting playmaker Carson Wentz.

NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo disclosed the changes made to the Eagles roster on Twitter:

The Philly-based squad should see some adjustments after suffering an unexpected defeat to the hands of the Washington Football Team last Sunday. The Eagles saw their comfortable 17-0 lead quickly disappear and were also not able to score a single point in the second half of the game.

Carson Wentz tallied a total of 270 passing yards on 24 of 42 passes completed along with two touchdowns scored and two interceptions. RB1 Miles Sanders was ruled out of the game due to a hamstring injury that put the scoring load on rushers Boston Scott and Corey Clement.

Tight end Dallas Goedert made significant contributions to the offense as he chipped in 101 receiving yards on eight receptions and a scored touchdown. Rookie wideout Jalen Reagor also made his professional debut with 55 receiving yards on a lone reception. The bounce-back efforts of the Eagles will be harder as they now face a tough Los Angeles Rams who snagged a nail-biting win from the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.

The insertion of Jalen Hurts as QB2 could be indicative of adjustments that head coach Pederson will make for their Week 2 matchup. Eagles fans shall see if the rookie will be able to make an impact if he will indeed see action on the gridiron on Sunday.
