The Philadelphia Eagles answered a lot of speculative questions ahead of next season as they finally addressed their need to acquire a running back to be their workhorse going forward. The Eagles made a trade this past Thursday to acquire fourth-year running back Jordan Howard from the Chicago Bears. Howard is already excited and likes the way he looks in an Eagles jersey.

Howard is a fantastic rusher with a skill set that consists of speed and power, and the Eagles are gaining a great addition to a potentially potent offense. Howard has three seasons under his belt and has run for over 1,000 yards twice. Howard's rookie season has been his best so far as he ran for 1,313 yards across 15 games as well averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

The Eagles still have a murky situation in regards to their running back corps considering they still have Josh Adams, Corey Clement, and Wendell Smallwood. Jay Ajayi was solid at times for the team but often failed to stay healthy long enough to gain momentum as he did with the Miami Dolphins. The questions for the Eagles are likely not entirely answered, butt Howard is instantly the team's top running back.

The trade suggests Howard will get the opportunity to be the team's workhorse, but he will likely split carries as the other backs on the team offer various skill sets. Howard takes a heap of pressure off quarterback Carson Wentz and finds himself surrounded by fantastic talent in every layer of the offense.
