The Philadelphia Eagles have made efforts to get back on track in the 2020 NFL season. It seems running back LeSean McCoy is hoping to get in on the action.

McCoy remains an unrestricted free agent at this point in the offseason. He said during an appearance on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football that he would be open to a return to Philadelphia, via Reuben Frank of NBC Sports:

“I could see that,” McCoy said. “On another note, since I left, you haven't seen the 25 active in green, so you never know. I’m going to keep my options open, though. I could see myself there in Philly. Like I said, that's home, so you never know.”

The prospect of McCoy reuniting with the Eagles is certainly an intriguing one. After all, they are reportedly in the market for a veteran presence in their backfield and he would fit the billing.

Philadelphia had taken a similar approach last offseason when they acquired wide receiver DeSean Jackson from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Getting to reunite Jackson with McCoy on offense is more than enough to provide fans with a healthy dose of nostalgia.

Although McCoy has since managed to win a Super Bowl alongside head coach Andy Reid, there is still a sense of unfinished business with the Eagles. He is the franchise's all-time leading rusher and is hoping to end his career on a high note following a quiet year with the Chiefs.

The veteran would be joining a crowded backfield that includes Corey Clement, Miles Sanders, and Boston Scott.
