There seemed to be a deja vu on Sunday night when Nick Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles to a victory over the Los Angeles Rams. It was also the place last year where Foles came in relief of Carson Wentz last year and started a magical run that ended in a Super Bowl victory.

After the game, Foles was asked if he is thinking about the future and he admits that he can't help but look ahead at times even if he is trying to stay focused at the job at hand.

“That part does creep in,” Foles said via NBC Sports. “I do say there is a human side, but I'm very self-aware that those distractions don't do you any good. I really thrive in staying in the moment and just enjoying it. We'll see what happens but I really want to just enjoy the moment and just be in the present in all I do, and that's what I try to focus on daily.”

With the big upset victory the Eagles keep their hopes for a playoff spot and although they need some help to get into the playoffs it's going to start with winning their next two games against the Houston Texans and the Washington Redskins. If they do win out, they need the Minnesota Vikings to lose one of their final two games to clinch a wild-card spot.

It hasn't been announced yet that Foles is the starter for the rest of the year, but it sure seems like is his job for the rest of the year unless he suffers an injury.
