In the weeks ahead of the weeks of the start of the 2018 regular season, there are several questions concerning their quarterback situation with their primary options both dealing with injuries.

This has now seen Nick Foles suffer yet another shoulder injury as he's dealing with a minor strain in his right shoulder, which has led to sportsbooks no longer taking bets for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Atlanta Falcons in the season opener, according to Sports Insights.

The Eagles have much uncertainty surrounding their quarterback situation that could thrust either Nate Sudfeld and Joe Callahan into the starting job. There is also the possibility that Pro Bowler Carson Wentz could make his return as he has begun to participate in 11-on-11 drills that is another step toward him being be cleared to play for the season opener against the Falcons. Wentz had acknowledged last week that it will be a close call for the coaching staff and medical staff on his availability for the contest.

Meanwhile, this latest shoulder injury could put Foles out of action for the next few weeks as there is currently no timetable for his return. The Eagles will likely operate in a precautionary manner in order to avoid any possible setback from occurring that could keep him off the field for a longer extent. Keep in mind, Foles had previously been dealing with a muscle spasm in his neck that kept him off the practice field for three straight days and led to him being inactive for the preseason opener last week.

Until there is more clarity on the Eagles' quarterback situation for the season opener, sportsbooks will continue to not take any bets for that game. This matter should receive much clarity as the start of the regular season nears closer in the coming weeks.
