No Zach Ertz, Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, no problem. Despite possessing a short-handed offense on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles took care of business, beating the young New York Giants 34-17 to win the crown of the NFC East, and, subsequently, get to the playoffs for the third straight season.

The Eagles' realization of their postseason berth took place on Dec. 22. To get that NFC East win, they had to beat the Dallas Cowboys at home. In front of a rowdy Philadelphia-based crowd, they did just that, winning 17-9.

After beating the Cowboys, all the Eagles needed was a win over the Giants on Sunday, no matter if Dallas beat the Washington Redskins or not (they did). The 9-7 Birds benefited from the ‘Boys disappointing immensely, going 8-8 on the year.

Philadelphia's win over New York wasn't pretty. However, they got it done. By the end of the tilt, Eagles and Giants fans chanted in unison, “Dallas sucks!” The Cowboys aren't going to the playoffs, despite Super Bowl aspirations. The Eagles are.

So what now? The Eagles will have to tune into “Sunday Night Football” on NFC to see who they will face in the playoffs. They will host the loser of the NFC West bout between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.

At one point, the Eagles were counted out. They couldn't go to the playoffs after suffering numerous injuries, losing to the Miami Dolphins and seeing Carson Wentz go through growing pains, could they? It turns out they could.

Their Super Bowl hopes remain alive.
