Park “Viper” Do-hyeon will be the final puzzle piece of the 2021 EDward Gaming roster. The transfer of the South Korean Carry followed the organization's announcement of Clearlove's return to the team's lineup. EDG has been silent regarding its attempt to rebuild its roster but we finally have a full lineup. The organization dropped the bomb on fans when they came out with a fully-stacked 2021 roster. The team will have a total of 9 players with one substitute for each role except Support.

Return to form

It hasn't been a long time since EDG dominated the scene alongside Royal Never Give Up. The rise of prominent teams in the region such as Suning, Invictus Gaming, and FunPlus Phoenix has made the scene that much more competitive. ex-Hanhwa Life AD Carry Viper and veteran Jungler Clearlove will both need to steer their team in the right direction.

Fans have long speculated that EDG would be picking up Viper for its 2021 lineup. This marks the first instance in his playing career where he will be playing with a new Support partner in the Bot lane. Viper also makes his first appearance outside of the Korean LCK scene. EDG's former Bot duo Wang “Hope” Jie and Tian “Meiko” Ye have both re-signed with the team but it's likely that Viper will be starting Carry.

EDward Gaming may have a fully-stacked lineup but it remains to be seen if the team can handle the pressure of the intense LPL scene. It's always an exciting prospect to see how well the organizations prepared their teams ahead of a season opener. Hopefully, EDG makes it back to the top of the LPL like it did in the past.
