Tinder has rolled out a new, highly exclusive subscription, Tinder SELECT, inviting only a fortunate few to join for a monthly fee of $499, CNN reports. This top-tier membership offers a series of privileges, elevating users beyond the typical swiping experience. However, the entry process is rigorous, demanding more than just a willingness to shell out nearly $6,000 annually.
The exclusive status of Tinder SELECT extends to providing access to the app's “most sought after profiles,” allowing direct messaging without the need for matching, early access to upcoming features, an ad-free experience, and the coveted SELECT badge on their profile, signifying their elevated status.
While the initial invitations for SELECT were sent out in September, Tinder has slowly expanded this exclusive offering, maintaining a highly restricted 1% acceptance rate among its vast user base.
However, receiving an invite and the willingness to pay the subscription fee are only the initial steps. Prospective members must meet a stringent set of criteria, including a well-curated profile with at least four pictures, listed interests, a bio of at least 15 characters, and a clear relationship goal.
