While HBO's hit Euphoria is coming back for Season 3, star Eric Dane is uncertain about his future.

Chatting with ClutchPoints about Prime Video's One Fast Move, Dane revealed he has not heard anything regarding Euphoria Season 3. However, he trusts creator Sam Levinson and will await the call.

“Anything Sam Levinson comes up with is probably gonna be pretty cool,” Dane said. “So, I am not only excited to see what he has come [up] with, but I'll probably be equally as excited to play it.

“But I haven't heard anything,” he conceded.

As for any theories, including reports of conflict between Zendaya and Levinson, Dane keeps his nose out of it. “Unless Sam Levinson calls me and tells me ‘This is what's happening,' I wouldn't believe anything you read,” he explained.

In Euphoria, Dane stars as Cal Jacobs. He is Nate's (Jacob Elordi) father, who lives a double life. Eric Dane is a pivotal part of Euphoria and will surely be back for Season 3. Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out if he is coming back.

Currently, Dane is promoting the racing action movie One Fast Move. He stars alongside Riverdale alum KJ Apa. In it, Apa plays Wes, an aspiring motorcycle racer.

As a result, he reunites with his estranged father, played by Dane. The two work together as Wes attempts to overcome his childhood drama.

What is Euphoria about?

Euphoria is an HBO series created by Levinson. The first season premiered on June 16, 2019, and concluded on August 4. A second season did not come for nearly three years.

However, in between the first two seasons, HBO aired a two-part holiday special. The first part aired on December 6, 2020, and the second on January 24, 2021.

Season 2 of Euphoria premiered on January 9, 2022, and concluded on February 27, 2022. A third season has been green-lit, though it will still be a while before it hits HBO.

Euphoria is led by Zendaya as Rue Bennett, a drug-addicted teenager. Other young stars such as Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney also have main roles. Some of the producers include Levinson, Drake, Zendaya, Ron Leshem, and Gary Lennon.

While Levinson has directed several episodes (and written all of them), the likes of Augustine Frizzell, Jennifer Morrison, and Pippa Bianco also directed episodes of the first season. Levinson then directed all episodes of the second season.

During the extended break, Levinson has kept busy. He executive-produced the miniseries Irma Vep. The eight-episode series premiered on HBO on June 22.

Levinson also created the controversial series The Idol with Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd) and Reza Fahim. The series follows a pop star, played by Lily-Rose Depp, and her relationship with a cult leader (played by Tesfaye). Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Jane Adams, Rachel Sennott, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Eli Roth, and Hank Azaria are among the actors with supporting roles.

However, after its Cannes Film Festival premiere in May 2023, the series had a rocky run on HBO. It premiered on June 4, 2023, and was met with negative responses. It was canceled after just one season.
