Evil Geniuses is allegedly making major movements following rumors of the departure of their current Top Laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon. The loss of Huni is a big hit for EG but their rumored Top replacement may turn things in their favor. Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong is a former world champion and a repeat local championship winner and he's allegedly joining Evil Geniuses for next year.

Reporter Jacob Wolf spoke briefly about EG's roster plans in a stream on the EG Twitch channel. This is massive news considering Team Liquid has not announced the departure of Impact as of this time. Impact has been a consistent presence for TL since joining in 2017. TL has enjoyed massive success with Impact in their top lane but they may have to learn how to fight without him in the future.

EG is also allegedly picking up Team SoloMid Academy's Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui for AD Carry. Lost is not as successful as Impact but he will be part of their reconstruction efforts should the deal push through.

It will be exciting to watch what kind of success EG will manage to wrangle next year. Impact is a six-time local champion with four wins in NA and two wins in South Korea on top of a Worlds crown. He is also the first player to ever win local titles for both NA and Korea. Meanwhile, Lost was the best-performing Carry in the NA Academy League this past season. EG seems hell-bent on making their name known in the local region and possibly, on the international stage.
