Red Bull Racing has gone through a lot in the past couple of months. Max Verstappen's dominance is slowly being challenged by Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris. Meanwhile, the departure of Adrian Newey is also looming over the Helmut Marko-led team. To top it all off, there are also a lot of issues surrounding Christian Horner and the internal structure of the organization. But, that is not the end of it. The current F1 World Drivers' champion has also been the subject of vitriol along with his partner, Kelly Piquet.

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet's relationship has raised a lot of eyebrows. A lot of people are looking at their age gap and how it all started. Notably, the Red Bull Racing driver's partner had been with Daniil Kvyat. The two even have a child together who has a close bond with the reigning F1 drivers' champion. But, the criticism towards both of them has reached an all-time high. There were even odd claims made about their age gap and how she operates within their partnership.

Kelly Piquet has had enough of all these. She went out to blast these erroneous statements and urged the F1 community to be far more kind and vigilant with the information that they have been sharing.

“For over 3 years I've been navigating a very strange and upsetting wave of accusations, rumors, fabricated situations, fake testimonials, photoshopped screenshots… you name it. All the while staying silent and not playing into these ridiculous claims. Accusations made in the past months especially have taken on another level of defamation. Those who know me know that I would never put myself in such positions, say certain things or act in such a way,” Piquet wrote in an Instagram post.

She even added how her family along with the Red Bull Racing driver's life has been negative affected by these claims.

“I am far from perfect, but I do take pride in my values, morals and manner. Let that be clear. As a human being, the comments and hate affect me and the people around me deeply. I hope this serves as a reminder for people to verify online content before making threats,” Piquet declared.

Max Verstappen even commented on it to showcase his support to her current partner.

“This has to stop. These false accusations by certain individuals on Instagram and TikTok are insane and ridiculous at the same time. Hate has no place in this world. We know what’s true within our family and we are very happy together. I love you,” the F1 world drivers' championship leader for 2024 noted.

As of the moment, the two just want these types of comments out of their way. The ones regarding their age gap and speculation about Piquet's dating history, especially.

Verstappen is still the front-runner to win it all come winter. He has netted Christian Horner and Helmut Marko's team 169 points with his five wins and six podiums. However, Charles Leclerc is just 31 points behind while Lando Norris is lagging by 56 points. Nonetheless, Christian Horner's squad is still leading the World Constructors' Championship with 276 points.

If all of these get settled soon with the rest of the F1 faithful, Verstappen could be on his way to notch another world title.
