The felony charges won't stop coming for Florida defensive lineman Jordan Smith. After having an absurd 18 third-degree felony charges levied against him previously this week, the Gainesville Police Department has recommended four additional charges to be tacked on.

That's unfortunate, obviously. If charged with four more felonies, it obviously doesn't mean Jordan Smith would be convicted of all four. It would be likely that, as per how the law uses its force, the prosecutors might use the abundance of felonies to help bargain for a deal outside of actual court.

To be clear: That is all very much conjuncture.

According to a report from SEC Country, the Gainesville Police Department has recommended two fraud complaints and two larceny grand-theft charges related to a widespread credit card fraud scheme linked to nine members of the Florida Gators, including Jordan Smith.

The previous charges were issued by the University of Florida Police Department.

Smith had been charged with using misappropriated funds to purchase a pair of laptops and headphones and more.

From SEC Country:

According to a police report, Smith used the credit card number of a Virginia man on July 31 to pay a $1,007.82 debt he had with The Woodlands, a Gainesville apartment complex. The man said he did not give Smith permission to use his credit card information nor did he know Smith or how Smith obtained his credit card information.

Those are in addition to the 18 third-degree felony charges the University of Florida Police Department recommended in relation to on-campus credit card fraud. According to the UFPD sworn complaint, Smith took $5,020 and bought two 13-inch MacBook Pro laptops at the bookstore along with various headphones.  He also paid $1,450 to UF Parking and Transportation.

There is a whole hell of a lot going on here. As it always is whenever things of this nature go down, it is better to not rush to judgement and simply allow these things to play out in court.
