Sadly, Albert Haynesworth's career has been defined by the last few years of it. Some people might remember the dominant defensive tackle that played for the Tennessee Titans. However, most remember the version that signed a massive contract with the Washington Redskins.

That version didn't live up to his contract. He struggled to pass a fitness test and was chastised by the media for “doing the worm on the field”. Haynesworth only spent two years with Washington and then split a season between the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He hasn't played since then – 2011.

Now Haynesworth's in the news for another reason though – a much bleaker one. The two-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro is having health issues. He's in search of a new kidney. It got so bad, that he took to Instagram to plead for help from his fans.

There is some good news on that front though. Enough has been done to get Haynesworth discharged from the hospital. According to ESPN.com, the former superstar had over 12 pounds of fluid drained from in and around his lungs.

However, he's still in search of a kidney – meaning his fight is far from over.

It's during times like these that it's extremely important to remember football is just a game. In the grand scheme of things, life will throw a lot more important things your way. For Albert Haynesworth this is absolutely one of those things.

At the same time, it's always fun to remember careers. Whether it be fondly or with dissent – everyone loves to reminisce on certain players. You're still free to do that with Albert Haynesworth. Just remember that life isn't only football. Even spurned Washington Redskins fans should be able to look past his career, and hope for a great future for the man.
