Genshin Impact just recently released the details for version 2.3’s second phase weapon banners, and it’s quite a surprise to see two wildly different weapons on the same banner. Along with Itto and Gorou’s arrival, we’ll be seeing the Redhorn Stonethresher and the Skyward Harp in the same weapon banner in the coming days. Also included in the rate up are certain 4-star weapons, including the Alley Flash, Mitternachts Waltz, The Bell, Favonius Lance, and Sacrificial Fragments. In this article, we will guide you through the pros and cons of these weapons, and whether it’s worth pulling for the banner overall, or better skip on it.
Why You Should Pull from the Banner
The Redhorn Stonethresher is the new 5-star weapon in Version 2.3, and it seems to be Arataki Itto’s signature weapon. It provides a massive amount of Crit DMG, along with some DEF, and bonus DMG based on the wielder’s DEF. It’s an amazing weapon for Itto, and is really worth it if you’re getting the character, and have nothing else to spend your Primogems on.
The Skyward Harp is a weird one, but is a fantastic general-use bow for the majority of the bow users. It provides a very high base ATK, a good amount of Crit Rate and Crit DMG, and has a passive that deals a decent amount of damage on the side.
The rate-up 4-star weapons are a bit divisive, with some being very good weapons while some being straight-up bad. Alley Flash is an amazing stat stick for Bennett, with its massive base ATK for a 4-star weapon. Favonius Lance is a great weapon for a lot of support polearm users, and will see so much use on different teams. Sacrificial Fragments is probably one of the best catalysts for Sucrose, with the super high EM it provides.
To summarize, here are the main reasons why you should pull on the weapon banner:
- You want to obtain Itto’s signature weapon
- You would like to have a very universal bow, like the Skyward Harp
- You’re gunning for some of the 4-star weapons, especially the Alley Flash, Favonius Lance, and the Sacrificial Fragments
- You want to have more 5-star (or even 4-star) weapons in your arsenal
Why You Should Skip This Weapon Banner
The Redhorn Stonethresher might be Itto’s signature weapon, but it’s not the best one in the right context. If you’re a veteran player, you most likely know that the Serpent Spine, the BP Claymore, is one of the best claymores in the game, and probably have copies of it. According to some math, a Refine 3 Serpent Spine performs better than a Refine 1 Redhorn on Itto, which is quite a surprise for most. This is due to the Serpent Spine’s huge general DMG bonus increase, which works well with his DEF scaling.

The Skyward Harp is also not the best-in-slot on any bow character, and is less of an appealing pull for those who already own an Amos’ Bow, Thundering Pulse, or the Polar Star.
The remaining two 4-star weapons are quite bad, namely, the Mitternachts Waltz and The Bell. These two weapons have very niche uses, and don't perform well in the current meta.
To summarize, here are the reasons why it’s better to skip this weapon banner:
- You have access to the Serpent Spine, the Battle Pass claymore
- You have no need for the Skyward Harp, especially if you have the other best-in-slot bows
- The Waltz bow and The Bell being in the 4-star pool are deal-breakers
- None of the weapons in the banner are appealing enough to pull for
The new Epitome Invocation goes live on December 14, 2021.
