Honor of Kings
Honor of Kings is the global release of the same game that became available in mainland China in late 2015 and received an international release as “Arena of Valor” in 2016. While Arena of Valor used the same game engine, the user interface and heroes have been reworked to better suit the Western audience.
Honor of Kings was officially announced to have a worldwide launch scheduled on June 20th, 2024. Pre-releases and early access are available in various regions, countries, and territories.
The developer of HoK, TiMi Studio, was handed the project by parent company Tencent Games after Riot Games initially declined to make a MOBA on mobile. TiMi Studio may not be a familiar name, but they also developed Pokemon Unite, the mobile spin-off game, with The Pokemon Company.
Level Infinite published HoK for global audiences. They publish other titles like Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Tower of Fantasy, among others.
