Developers regularly keep an eye out for game-breaking bugs that threaten the experience of their player base. Naturally, players always expect game makers to keep the games up and running. This is why it's ironic that Nioh 2's previous update messed things up royally for all players. Fortunately, its developers, Team Ninja, finally pushed out a patch that fixes issues for both the Steam and PlayStation 5 versions.

PATCHING UP NIOH 2

The 1.27 patch for Nioh 2 released on March 10, 2021. The update brought the long-awaited mouse and keyboard support but it also added multiple headaches for players. The infamous patch brought non-stop crashes, 120 fps hiccups, and vanishing text. Players everywhere complained nonstop about the issues impeding playing sessions. The developers worked hard to address the problems but the fix took quite longer than expected.

Team Ninja finally announced the 1.27.1 patch late last night. The new patch aims to directly tackle the major issues brought by its predecessor. The short patch includes only fixes to issues found on both the PC and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. Fans reacted positively to the announcement of the new update for Nioh 2. However, some pointed out the extremely long time it took the developers to fix the problems they introduced in the first place.

Last year, Nioh 2 received a nomination for the Best Action Game award in The Game Awards 2020. The Nioh sequel ultimately lost to Supergiant Games' isometric roguelike Hades. Regardless, Nioh 2 stands as an amazing follow-up to the first game in the series. The sequel builds and improves on things that made the first game great. Several players flocked to the sequel but have been somewhat jilted by the massive bugs in the recent update.

Now, players can finally look forward to playing the game. Hopefully, no further game-breaking bugs will rise up. Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition sells for around USD 50 on the Steam digital storefront.
