Park “Untara” Ui-jin is the latest professional player to hang up his gaming mouse and keyboard. Untara is perhaps best known for his brief stint with SKT in the formative years following the team's defeat at Worlds 2017. The South Korean Top laner enters retirement at age 23 having never won any championships.

Analysts and casters never regarded Untara as the best player in his role but he was a true challenger. One of the most difficult skills for a professional player to have is the ability to play well when losing the game. Untara excelled at game control even when his team was suffering a huge deficit. He established himself as a flexible Top laner that is somewhat uncommon in the title.

Untara played in three different regions across many organizations but his longest tenure was his stint as SKT's Top. He filled in for the three-time world championship squad from May 2017 to November 2018. In 2019, he moved to Turkey to play for 1907 Fenerbahçe but soon returned home after an uneventful outing.

His final chance came from the rising Griffin squad. The organization selected Untara as one of its 2nd-generation players after the dissolution of its star team. Unfortunately, Griffin landed in the last place and faced the dreaded promotion tournament. SANDBOX Gaming seized the LCK spot from the ailing Griffin and halted Untara's career in its tracks.

Untara tried his hand at streaming after Griffin lost its LCK spot. Organizations likely overlooked him due to the saturation of the Top role in the league. The once-promising Top laner makes his silent exit from the intensely competitive world of League of Legends.
