Splitgate, a team-based first-person shooter game with portal mechanics, has is enjoying an incredibly impressive Open Beta. It's been so successful, in fact, that it's caused several server issues for its developers, 1047 Games. It was also the most downloaded game on the PlayStation Store last month.
Splitgate Forge Mode Details
Last week, the game's official Twitter account responded with “Splitgate will have forge mode before Halo Infinite” to a Tweet from KFC Gaming which said, “Trigger an entire gaming fanbase with one sentence.” You may view the actual Tweets below:

Unsurprisingly, the game did prompt some strong responses from players, with some saying, that Splitgate is “good but not Halo good” and that they expect the game's player base to vanish by the time Halo Infinite comes out. Others, on the other hand, are more hopeful, with even some Halo fans saying “competition is good” and it'll help improve game quality.
In addition, 1047 Games also responded to a Tweet asking for more details on the incoming “forge mode” for Splitgate:

Forge was a mode originally released in Halo 3, a mode designed to allow players to edit, customize and share maps throughout the community. It has since then become a regular feature in succeeding Halo games. Halo Infinite is set to release later this year, on December 8, 2021 – however, the campaign's co-op mode and forge mode have already been confirmed to be unavailable at launch and will be added at a later, currently unannounced date. 343 said in an official update:
“Unfortunately, as we focused the team for shut down, and really focused on a quality experience for launch, we made the really tough decision to delay shipping campaign co-op for launch. And we also made the tough call to delay shipping Forge past launch as well.”
It has also been stated that 343 plans to release forge mode sometime in Season 3 of Halo Infinite, and with each season lasting around three months, means we can expect forge mode sometime in mid-2022.
