Tiger Woods' 2024 PGA Tour debut is coming to an abrupt end. The 15-time major champion is withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational after completing six holes in Friday's second round. An ambulance is currently on the scene with his trainer next to it and members of the media huddled around, but Woods does not appear to be leaving in the vehicle, per Golf Digest's Christopher Powers.

He admitted to experiencing back spasms on Thursday, which he blamed for a shank on the 18th hole, but the initial reason given for the WD was illness. The 48-year-old was carted off, leaving everyone wondering about his health status. This is obviously more than just a back issue, though.

After beginning the day with an homage to his 1992 PGA Tour debut, Woods opened up play with a birdie to pull to even in the tournament. The tide turned soon after, though, as he bogeyed the fourth and fifth holes before earning par on the sixth.

Woods' triumphant return, which was intended to officially start his road to the 2024 Masters, hits a concerning snag in Los Angeles. Injuries have ravaged Tiger Woods for a decade-plus, but he reminded fans of his all-time greatness in 2019 at Augusta. Winning the Green Jacket for a fifth time will forever be considered one of his most extraordinary feats in a legendary career.

That is not something the golf world is pondering right now, however. Countless fans are preoccupied with Woods' well-being. It is a bit of a confusing scene at this moment, but ClutchPoints will update you when more information is made available.
