The New York Giants continue to look for a brand new coach, and they may have their eyes set on New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who recently shared some new interview schedules for NFL teams, the Giants will be talking to Baylor head coach Matt Rhule on Tuesday, and will then speak to McDaniels on Wednesday.

With the Patriots already eliminated from postseason contention, McDaniels will likely go through the interview process much faster than he has in years past, which could help the Giants in their decision making.

After an incredible start to the season ended in disappointment for the Patriots, many have begun to wonder what the future holds for the franchise. After staying with the team despite being a prime coaching candidate for years, McDaniels could finally leave the Patriots once again to explore his coaching future.

Likewise, the Giants would be betting a lot on McDaniels, who has had some controversy in the past regarding not only his head coaching abilities but if he’d really like to leave the Patriots. However, with speculation on the future of Tom Brady and the state of the Patriots in question, it might be time for McDaniels to try and make his mark on another team, and the Giants would be a great landing spot.

Not only do they have a talented young quarterback, but they also sport one of the league's best running backs in Saquon Barkley, and will have a very high draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
