Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, even though he does have one of the biggest tempers in the league as well. He signed a massive five-year contract extension this offseason that could be worth up to $95 million. The deal came with $65 million guaranteed.

Even though he has had his share of drama, Beckham's performance on the field speaks for itself. He took another step into the NFL history books on Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons.

According to ESPN Stats & Info on Twitter, Beckham became the second-fastest wide receiver in NFL history to reach 5,000 career receiving yards. Lance Alworth was able to reach that mark in 52 games, while Beckham needed 54 games.

Needless to say, this shows exactly how dominant Beckham has been in his four years and some change with the Giants.

Coming into tonight's game with the Falcons, Beckham had caught 45 passes for 506 yards and a touchdown. New York's offense is designed around him and rookie running back Saquon Barkley. Unfortunately, the team has not been playing as a whole.

Before the game against Atlanta, the Giants held a 1-5 record. They appear to be headed toward yet another high draft pick. More than likely, the Giants will try to find a young quarterback that can be groomed to replace Eli Manning, who has been struggling a bit once again this season.

All of that being said, congratulations go out to Odell Beckham Jr. for his impressive accomplishment and coming back in such a big way from a gruesome ankle injury last season.
