If you are unfamiliar with Bryson DeChambeau at this point, then you are in for a treat. DeChambeau has taken the golf world by storm over the last year with his incredible distance off the tee. Following a short hiatus when the PGA was away from play due to COVID-19 restrictions, DeChambeau restructured his diet, added a bunch of muscle, and increased the distance on his drive.

To put in perspective the average drive in the PGA is around 295.4 yards, DeChambeau's average in 2020 was 323.8 yards which is the highest single-season driving distance in tour history.

On Saturday at Bay Hill, for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Bryson DeChambeau did something many people would dare to think of and that was to go over the lake on the Par-5 6th hole that's measured at 590 yards, the ball traveled 370 yards, and he ended up birdieing the hole.

On Sunday, with DeChambeau at the top of the leaderboard looking to win his eighth tour event, he went for the bomb drive on the 6th again and landed himself just 88 yards from the pin. He currently holds a one-stroke lead over Lee Westwood after birdieing the sixth hole again.

Bryson's ability to hit bombs off the tee was a big reason he was able to win his first major last year at the Winged Foot Golf Club in New York. At just 27-years-old DeChambeau has already cemented himself as one of the top players on the tour. He is the 11th ranked player according to the PGA world rankings.
