Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has taken a massive jump this 2021-22 season, and though his play is enough proof of his rise to star status, he still wants to say it for everyone to know.

After beating Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, Morant took to Twitter to issue some sort of warning or stern reminder to the rest of the NBA: he's on another level now.

Ja Morant is carrying a chip on his shoulder, and for a good reason. He has been largely undervalued and underappreciated, thanks in large part to the shadow and hype surrounding 2019 top overall pick Zion Williamson. However, now that he's focused on winning with the Grizzlies, his game and impact have elevated.

“I was in position to be an All-Star my first two years and didn’t make it. That bothered me a lot,” Morant said on his hot start to the season. “So I just stopped focusing on that and just focusing on my play. I’m a winner, and that’s the main goal. If I do that, everything else will take care of itself. I just got to control what I can control and that’s my play on the floor.”

It's certainly a great sight for Grizzlies fans to see Morant catapult himself among the conversation of the best players in the NBA today. With the way he's playing–averaging a league-high 30.4 points on 54.4 percent shooting–Memphis is in a great position to make the postseason once again.

Of course it is still too early in the campaign, but with Morant walking the talk, the rest of the NBA should be worried.
