The ongoing contract standoff between the Memphis Grizzlies and forward JaMychal Green is expected to reach a resolution before training camp, a source told CBSSports.com writer Matt Moore.

Green, who is a restricted free agent, has reportedly been offered significantly more than his qualifying offer to return to Memphis. But he remains unsigned, likely holding out for a larger contract offer to come his way.
The 27-year-old Green is coming off his best season in the NBA last year. He started 75 games at power forward for the Grizzlies, who were the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference, and averaged 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting an impressive 38 percent from beyond the arc.
With Green still unsigned and veteran Zach Randolph departing in free agency this offseason, the Grizzlies are currently short on reliable power forwards.
The oft-injured Brandan Wright, who has played just 40 games over the last two seasons for the Grizzlies, Jarell Martin, and Deyonta Davis are the team’s current options on the roster to start at power forward if they aren’t able to retain Green’s services.
