When you only have 19 wins in a season you are going to have a lot of ugly losses, but the Memphis Grizzlies might have had their worst effort over the course of years on Thursday night.

The Grizzlies didn't look like they wanted to be there, and it showed with the results all night. When the dust had settled, the Grizzlies had lost to the Charlotte Hornets 140-79, a loss by 61 points.

After the game, veteran guard  Tyreke Evans talked about how disappointed he was with the effort that the entire team showed.

Evans called the loss embarrassing, and said they need to shake it off to get ready for the next game because there is no sense dwelling on this one.

The Grizzlies are a young team with Evans being the veteran leader with Marc Gasol and Mike Conley out. With the talent level of this team, not much is expected in terms of wins and losses but Evans would like to see some fight and heart out of some of the young guys.

In Thursday's game it was pretty clear early on that it wouldn't be their night. They fell behind 24-6 and after that, they didn't have the firepower to try and make a comeback.

Evans did his part putting up 16 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Wayne Selden was the best offensive threat putting up 18 points.

For the Hornets, they were paced by Kemba Walker who put up 46 points and had ten three-pointers made which is a new team record, breaking his previous record of nine which he set early this year.
