Goran Dragic is going to be playing in his first All-Star game this weekend, after being an injury replacement for Kevin Love who is recovering from a broken hand.

Leading into the game he did an interview with Mike Schmitz of ESPN about how he is helping mentor one of Europe's biggest stars, Luka Doncic.

Doncic is projected to be a very high pick in this upcoming draft, maybe even going number one overall.

Doncic and Dragic helped lead the Slovenian national team to their first-ever gold medal in the European Championships last year, and that really helped connect the bond between the two. The first time the two met Doncic was just seven years old rebounding for Dragic and doing basically anything he asked for him.

“Dragic has become Doncic's national team roommate, friend, mentor and sounding board as he goes through the pre-draft process that almost took Dragic to the brink mentally. Doncic's situation is different. He's a potential No. 1 pick, a child prodigy who has been producing at an unprecedented level at age 18. But Dragic's presence is imperative for Doncic, who will likely face the criticism that goes with European prospects selected in the top five.”

Steve Nash did the same thing for Goran Dragic when he was younger.  When Dragic came into the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, Nash showed him the ropes on how to be a highly touted player, and how to handle the pressure of being a point guard in the NBA.

But for now, the roles have changed, and Dragic is trying to take what he learned from Nash, and pass them on to Luka Doncic, who could be the next NBA superstar.
