Jimmy Butler has been doing some tremendous things for the Miami Heat during the postseason. He's been integral to the success of this squad, and it's hard to deny that this team would not be where they are right now had it not been for the six-time All-Star.

Butler has been so good in the playoffs that ESPN broadcaster Jay Williams has been obliged to mention the Heat star's name in the same breath as the great Michael Jordan. Even Williams had to take a second to consider the gravity of his statement:

“So look, I’m ready to do this,” Williams said on a recent episode of KJM (h/t Jonathan Sherman of Heat Nation). “And it’s wild that I’m doing this, but I’m gonna do it. So, Jimmy Butler’s name belongs in the same breath with Michael Jordan. Crazy, right? As the only players in a single postseason averaging 28 points per game, five assists, two steals on 50-plus percent shooting from the field.

“I just want you to think about that for a second, Key. We just said Jimmy Butler’s name in the same breath with M.J. for what this dude is doing in this postseason.”

Williams isn't exactly saying that Butler has emerged as the second coming of MJ in this playoffs (although he's been doing some Michael Jordan-like things of late). However, numbers don't lie. Some might say that the stats are a bit arbitrary, but the fact that he's even in the same sentence as the GOAT speaks volumes of what Butler has been doing for the Heat in the postseason.
