The All-Star reserves for the Eastern Conference and Western Conference were revealed earlier this week, leading to conversations on who was snubbed. While Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler both could have been selected to represent the Miami Heat, neither of them seem concerned about their absence from the All-Star roster.

“We’re here to do a job. That’s the bottom line,” Adebayo said, via the Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang. “That’s kind of how we look at it, at the end of the day. Keep pushing forward, one foot in front of the other. … Just move through life with a smile and just enjoy it. It was great to get this win. All-Star is behind us and we’re just going to keep worrying about stacking up these W’s.”

Along with Adebayo's comments on not making the All-Star team, Butler wished that his Heat teammate would have gotten the recognition he deserved.

Butler said: “I’m cool. I’m not the one to ask about going to All-Star. I wish Bam would have made it. As for me, I’m cool.”

After the starters in the Eastern Conference were announced as Kyrie Irving, Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid. The reserves in the East would be Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Julius Randle, Ben Simmons, Zach LaVine, James Harden, and Nikola Vucevic.

It would have been hard for Butler to make the All-Star team due to him missing 12 games this season. On the other hand, Adebayo was more than deserving of an All-Star spot in a loaded frontcourt in the East.

Despite not getting All-Star nods this season, both Butler and Adebayo are focused on making sure the Heat are positioned to defend their title as Eastern Conference Champions.
