Miami Heat young star Tyler Herro is on a mission to prove all his doubters wrong as the 21-year-old gets himself going with a huge preseason debut.

The former All-Rookie Second Team member exploded against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday and dropped an insane stat line in just 26 minutes of play (via The Hoop Central):

Herro was coming off his incredible rookie campaign with the Heat when the young scorer hit a wall in his sophomore year last season in Miami. According to him, his struggles last season were all ‘mental' and he's more than ready to prove his doubters wrong entering his third season in the NBA.

“Some people are sleeping on me,” Herro said (via NBA on ESPN). “I am going to wake a lot of people up.”

Herro didn't wait long before getting his preseason campaign started. In the first year anniversary since his infamous snarl in the 2020 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Milwaukee native erupted for 16 points in the first quarter of their preseason game against the Hawks.

He was basically on fire right from the get-go for the Heat (via NBA):

Thanks to Herro's huge game, the Heat came out with a blowout win against the Hawks, 125-99. Watch out, world. Tyler Herro is about to be a household name once again.
